Spring Decoration on our Entrance Door

I made this canvas as an Easter decoration using acrylics, gesso, cutouts and sticker from Cavallini San Francisco papers, as well as a Chinese semi-transparent paper stamped with a word stamp. I used a wine cork as a dot stamp.

The finished canvas was mounted with a thin wire strung with a few pearls and hung on our entrance door.

This week’s WS theme is coloring. I hardly ever color my stamped images in the conventional way. When I do, I like to use water color pencils or markers. I sometimes also use crayons for just giving some areas color.

Here I used acrylics to paint the back of the image stamped on acetate, as well as Copic markers.

I used some nice ribbons I found at the Depot and decorated my little 10 x 10 cm canvas with them. Also, I inserted two pearl rhinestones.

Unfortuantely the scan didn’t come out so well, it is a tad lighter in real life.
